Bio

Once upon a time in a small suburb south of Seattle, an 8 year old boy DJ'd his very first disco party for friends, complete with a Radio Shack strobe light and "Mocktails". His defining moment occurred while performing at a breakdance show in the 1980's he witnessed the legendary DJ, Grandmaster Flash, perform his mix/scratch routine which instantly ignited a life-long passion that still burns bright decades later. Brian Hartbeat graduated from Broadcasting School and became an intern with Sir Mix A-lot's original record label "Nastymix Records." Within 5 years he achieved a role as the Artist Relations Director and National Record Pool Director. His career turned and he became a producer and a mixshow radio host on a major Top 40 Seattle station; during the next decade he would produce multiple special radio remixes as a commercial and audio element producer.

After spending nearly a decade in the world of radio broadcasting Brian decided it was time to build his own dream recording studio. This studio would be a combination of today's latest modern software & yesterday's greatest old school drum machines, keyboards & samplers. The studio was completed in 2002 & it continues to be the main facility where he produces remixes for artists throughout the world along with several of his own original electronic dance music songs. Recently Brian has begun hosting & producing his own weekly mixshow podcast which has already received some really strong chart positions on the Mixcloud App.

Throughout the recent years Brian also joined forces with a group of national television shows & became their official studio audience DJ. These shows include: "(the 206)" "Update Late NW" & the Emmy award winning show Biz Kid$". For the past three years Brian has also provided the live soundtrack for The Lady 12 Apparel Fashion Show & their exclusive VIP after party. His DJ schedule is always filled with a variety of special events including pool parties, nightclub theme nights, sporting events, street parties, car shows & a variety of charitable events.

Brian's acceptance of the experiences and opportunities he's encountered has given him the chance to spend his life doing what he loves: Creating, sharing & performing music. His focus on good conversation and getting to know others as individuals fuels his desire to travel around the world, sharing his knowledge and experience. One thing is certain, says Mr. Hartbeat: "No matter where I go, I will never forget where I came from."
